BRANFORD, CT —Stony Creek Brewery has just released their new Save the Sound Light Lager. The new beer, developed in conjunction with regional nonprofit Save the Sound, will highlight the value of shared natural resources and raise funds to protect and improve Connecticut’s land, air and water and of Long Island Sound.
For every purchase made, Stony Creek Brewery will donate a portion of the proceeds to Save the Sound.
“Save the Sound and Stony Creek Brewery share a love for Long Island Sound and the outdoors, so it was natural to work together,” said Stony Creek Brewery founder Ed Crowley, Sr.
“When we developed Save the Sound Light Lager, we thought about where it would be enjoyed. This light, crisp lager is perfectly suited for a day enjoying the outdoors,” noted Crowley. “Everyone who buys the beer will help protect the outdoor spaces they value.”
Save the Sound Light Lager is currently available exclusively on draft at Stony Creek Dining and select locations. In the coming weeks, it will be available at Northeast outlets in both 6-pack and 12-pack options. In keeping with Save the Sound’s mission, Save the Sound Light Lager will be available in eco-friendly packaging for minimize the use of plastic.
Save the Sound Light Lager is a “unique Helles lager, made with the finest ground-malted German malts and balanced with a hint of earthy Tettnanger hops,” according to the brewery. It is described as a “bright, crisp beer with a slightly sweet flavor and light mouthfeel; the perfect pairing for a hot summer’s day by the water’.
