Dane Creek Capital Corp. acquired 93% of the share capital of Wodema Industries, a manufacturer of soft chew treats for pets. The transaction was completed through Dane Creek’s majority-owned subsidiary, United Raw Pet Foods. Wodema is the maker of Kettle Craft, its in-house brand of soft boiled kettle treats. In addition, the company produces Jay’s Soft & Chewy Big Bits and Tid Bits, as well as Jay’s Soft & Chewy My Mighty Wolf and My Mighty Lion lines. All candies and soft chews are made in small batches at Wodema’s manufacturing facility in Kelowna, BC, Canada.

Founded in 1996 by Colleen and Wolf Thoma, Kettle Craft has become one of the most trusted candy and chew brands in Canada and a growing brand in the United States, according to company officials. Produced in small batches in specially designed kettles using traditional European cooking techniques, the treats and soft chews are a popular choice for dog and cat owners.
