With restrictions eased this week to near-normal levels, for some it’s hard to completely give up the simple pleasure of “time” the lockdowns have afforded us. Despite the unceremonious return to the relentless spinning wheels of work and play, the Ax Creek Landcare draws crowds to nature-focused events. The group’s Love Your Land event series has connected Bendigo residents to the local bush through creative workshops that promote mindfulness in nature. His contagious affinity with nature and his skill with the camera, attracted more than 20 participants from all walks of life and from as far away as East Gippsland. The free workshop took place on February 26 and involved an indoor image review component, and an outdoor field trip with camera coaching.
